Who are you and what crews do you push?
the inedible xide one and skaer. i push cta crew and most recently fr8ophiles.

How long have you been writing?
i started to paint for real in late 93 - early 94. i fucked around some before that but it wasn't serious at all.

About how much of your overall writing is done on fr8s?
around 75% of what i do is trains. trains give me such a boner. i got hooked on them pretty early on. i like to drop walls here and there but usually it's only fame spots and chill walls. i've only done 3 legals to date. it's just that fr8s get me really amped. i saw them as the best way to get my name all over the country. i'm not on some pinky and the brain "it's time to take over the world" shit but i want people to know me and my crew can do our thing on them.

Hows the freight scene out in jersy?
the fr8 scene in jersey was pretty healthy. we had about 6 people, give or a take a few, ripping the hell out of them. it was cool. that ended over a year ago when some piece of shit spilled his guts to the attorney general. the state had an investigation and some really good writers got nabbed. this rat happened to know most of the spots and generously told the state all about it. the investigation is over but the municipalities know what was going on. to be honest a lot still get done now but it's not nearly as cool as it was. the real writers still take care of business, just not on the same scale as before. i have to paint layups now that i never would've done in the past. little nook and cranny shit but you do whatever it takes.

Where do you see the freight scene going in the next 5 years?
i think it's gonna get out of control. for the past couple years it's been picking up steam and i think it's all gonna come to a head. fr8s are getting to be a real mainstream part of graff now. in the past i think walls have reigned supreme and probably will but i'd like to see fr8s and trains in general take the forefront. the mass movement of us hitting these things is gonna spur a reaction. i think the fr8s companies are already getting wise. eventually they're not gonna be nearly as easy to hit. but what can you do?? i'm not saying they'll ever be unhittable. i just think these companies are gonna start having specific graff policies. some have already started buffing but that's got a lot with the #'ing getting trashed. like most of us i've seen that when railbox refurbishes their new cars the lettering is up high now. from some of the reading i've done on fr8s it seems most companies won't 'fix it til it's broke'. in reality they only have 2 options, tolerance or non-tolerance. i guess we'll see what happens.

Do you feel having an odd letter like x in your name has helped you develop a unique style? How else has it helped (or hurt) your style?
i took the name specifically because of the x. the rest of the letters are pretty mundane. it's been a real challenge to rip that letter differently. it can be easy to get in a rut with it but it can be very refreshing at the same time. it's like a hurdle that you love to pass. each sketch or peice is a challenge. i feed on that. if this was all easy i'd prolly be doing something else. in the beginning it hurt some because i had to really work at but looking back it was worth it. having an alias has really helped out a lot. when i get stuck i can switch back and forth. apply what i've done with this name to that one and so on. in the past i was really trying to get wild with some of the fr8s i pumped out and honestly i don't think a lot of people could read them. in the end it doesn't matter but you might see one at night parked somewhere and say "what in the fuck does that say?" lately i've been just stamping styled readables, if there is such a catagory.

What fr8 writers do you see doing the most damage in your area, and in north america as a whole?
in my area specifically i see chip. nace. some rime. kemos. klas. newa. penske. june. jnubs. kemos is out in pennsy now and he's hooked up with cense. dasar. cread. and company. i know those guys are ripping em up. the upstaters are going fucking nuts. ono is almost a household name now. it seems like he's a fucking machine. i give him a lot of respect for his 'no holds barred' approach. i'm really diggin the hardcore guys. in one of the spots i frequent i'm constantly seeing texas stuff. adikts is always there. worm and his crew. vizy and next. nimz. jher. sug. shit i always see sug. it doesn't matter what line i'm painting i always catch a sug. shit, there's so many more. 21rak. kaper. shit, who else?? i'm just drawing blanks but there's more. i'm really digging you canucks too. it's like a whole new frontier right next door. i don't catch an overwhelming amount of it but from seeing a lot of stuff on websites i think you guys rip.

What is your favorite type of car?
hands down an oversized gt or csx. i'm digging the blue backgrounds. we've got some spots for the oversized flats and it's like nirvana in there. i sport a boner everytime i go. it's like you try and bust as many nuts as you can but the hard-on never goes away. i like a good boxcar too. i used to love rocking a crusty ass flat BAR or cp but i wanna rock alot of the refurbished fr8s now. they'll be cruising another 25 yrs at least.

Any good chase stories?
yep, but it's a long one. i'll paraphrase. about 3 months ago i was doing what would normally be a shady ass night spot in the broad daylight. i broke night and went there at about 9 am. stayed to almost 1 - 2ish. big mistake. the sleep deprivation really had me delirious. some kids started fucking with the line i was painting and get themselves spotted. while i was trying to break out a cop showed up and spotted me. how they saw me i'll never know but we make eye contact and it's on. here i am running thru woods in the day time in a small town. this fucker calls every cop in the whole town to where i'm at. i got trapped in a small patch of woods while they surrounded me. i guess the first cop wasn't able to see exactly where i'd gone so to get me out they formed a circle around me and tryed to flush me out. this was daytime when it started mind you. i found a really good hiding spot and just chilled. i stayed as low as possible while these dudes walked all around me. i was absolutely sure they had me. it eventually got dark and they still wouldn't give up. i could see all the lights on the police cruisers lined up and down the roads all around me. it was sickening. they stayed tight til about midnight and i mosey'd outta there at almost 4 am. i had work the next day. i was all sore and stiff from laying in the same spot for 12 hrs. i thought i was starting to suffer from hypothermia after a while. it was nice during the day but it dipped into the 30's that night. just under 0 degrees celsius for the canucks. it was bad.

Last comments/Shout Outs?
yep, yep. watch the #'s and the black boxes. i've been very guilty of this in the past but if we can stop doing it they might opt for continuing to tolerate the graff. some quick hellos: my man krazy ass klas, kemos, june, jnub, pener, here, reset and cemz. i wanna give a hollar out to the scarlet letter so punk-fucking-rock it'll rip your ears off! and big bad ese for hittin me off with fr8sss i didn't have flix of. adios, xide skaer subrosabstraCTA fr8ophiles
